Scotts birthday/Life with crystal

We celebrated Scotts birthday a little late, we actually celebrated it on Jared's birthday (Lisas brother) but we had a lot of fun. We went out to eat at GoodWood with Lisas side of the family, and after that we spent some time in the Rock Canyon park with crystal, so that she could get her wiggles out and run around. Crystal is testing her limits and freedom as much as possible. It seems that now that she can walk, she's decided she can also make her own decisions. The second we tell her "no", she smiles and tries to do it anyway to see how we respond. She's also showing the beginnings of temper trantums as when we take away a dangerous object she finds; she cries as loud as she can, and will sit down and hang her head as low as possible to make sure we know that she's sad. As funny as it is, it can also be a headache at times. This is so unlike her as she's usually a very well behaved little girl. We're hoping this is just a phase and is not going to last too long. We still enjoy her for the most part, and when she's in a good mood you won't find a happier toddler. The video clip attached to this is after we went out to eat, it's just Crystal eating a popsicle and walking around. She likes to take a bite of what we have, walk around and come back for another bite. Like we mentioned, she can't hold still now that she's walking and this video is an example.

very cute video! nicholas used to walk with his arm up in the air like that when he first learned too! i think they make you take a class in free agency before you come to earth, because it seems like all babies come out thinking that everything should be the way they want it to be, reguardless of what you say or do, and they also think that just because they are capeable of doing something, they are allowed to do it. crazy kids!

I know what you mean about kids and agency...she's actually started to fake cry which is hillarious. She puts her hands over her eyes and makes crying sounds when we tell her no. Luckily it only lasts about 10 seconds and she gets distracted by something else. She's starting to behave again, but she has good days and bad days...I guess all kids do. That's funny that nicholas walked the same way crystal does...great minds think alike! (:
